F.A.Q.
List of questions I am frequently asked. If you don't find what you're looking for, you can find out how to contact me here.
Q:What program do you use for drawing/painting/animating?
A: Programs I used most often for digital painting are Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Sometimes, I draw sketch on paper, then I scan it or take photo, and import it in Photoshop and work on it, but nowadays I often start painting in program directly. As for animating, I use Adobe After Effects. I'm also proficient in Adobe Indesign, that I use when I have to combine images with text, like when making comics.
Q: What tablet do you use?
A:For a long time I didn't have a tablet at all and was painting with a mouse. In February 2013, I received Bambo Connect Pen Tablet from couple of dear online friends as my 18 birthday present. Years later, in 3rd year of college, I saved money from my scholarship and bought Huion GT-220 v2, on which I'm currently working.
Q: Do you do art trades?
A: I really am sorry, but, I usually really don't do trades, expect with very close friends. The reason for that is simply because I don't like doing them, as I didn't have much of a good memories regarding those ( like, working for hours and days on mine part, and the other side just submitting random useless dodges, if anything... :( )
So, I just don't feel much up to them right now, I hope you understand. <3
Q: Colabs?
A:Like last one, if I do those, they would be only with very close friends.
Q:Can I make base from your icons/chibis?
A: NO. Sorry, I know they are rather small, but really, if I wanted to make base, I would make it. I worked hours to get bases of my icons right, I don't want you to simply copy/paste it, add few details and claim your own. Not even for your personal icon, you are not allowed to do that. All I make is copyrighted to me, unless it's stated otherwise.
Q: I sent note/message at your * insert social media* account few days ago, and you still didn't reply, why does it take so long?
A: Er.. There's that catch with me.. Unless it's a commission, or something life urgent ( aaah, no, my house's on fire!! ) if I am crowded with both, messages + work, I probably will take at least week to reply notes/messages, and as for comments on works, I usually take even longer, and often, if too much time passed since it was posted, I don't reply at all... It's just simple choice - or use spare time to draw, or use it to reply messages.. And I till now often catch myself doing the second one, but recently, realizing that, I think I will slowly start reducing that time... Anything for making myself more space to do more art, you understand. I hope those who follow my work would rather see me make more art than reply all comments, and I take a leap of faint and do just that <3
Q: I posted comment on * insert social media* account days ago, and you still didn't reply? I see you replied to couple more people, will you eventually reply to me too?
A: Like stated in previous asking... I won't reply too often at comments anymore. It simply.. Is often both, time consuming, and exhausting. I mean, I get *cute* and * awww* and *beautiful* for comments all the time, and while it's heartwarming, it's kind of hard to say thank you on 10000 different ways.. At one point, it feels exhausting and mundane. I could just copy paste it, but it just wouldn't be as personal. That's why I will, of course, still be reading each comment, but reply only to few, and most likely I will reply eventually when:
Q: You closed your commissions! Ah, I really wanted to get one, can I get it nevertheless?
A: Er... If they are closed, it's done for good reason, probably stated in my commission page. You can be put on waiting list, so I can note you when I reopen commissions again, but you can't be put on slots once commissions are closed.
Q: Can I reserve a slot for future commission?
A: You can ask me to put you on waiting list, so I would oblige myself to note you once slots are open again, but it doesn't guarantee you to be first on slot - if I started like that, I could make lists long enough to make them last forever - and obliging on eternity.. is not most appealing, hehe :D And, besides, more importantly.. I think it's fairer this way, so more people have fair chance to get commission even if they didn't found out about them same instant they appeared first time :3
Q: I asked for commission, but I changed my mind, can I cancel it?
A: You can, if I didn't start working on it yet, and if you didn't pay. Every transaction is final, once it's done, there is no way around it. And it's simply because I like to know, for one, that I work for someone who thought carefully through what he wants, and is not simply thinking * I want bunch of those, whatever I pick is fine, so I will tell first thing that falls on my mind*. Please, people, don't ask for commission randomly, because you have enough to pay... Choose carefully and pick what you like and what feels worth your hard earned money, be it from me or someone else <3
So here it is, my FAQ. If you have some question, feel free to ask me, whether here or on other social media sites I am on, and I will reply to it and update this page with new questions regularly :3
